About the event

Sunday, July 28 - “Grand Pianos”

  • 2:30pm - Noah DeGarmo, Rising Star pianist (and Emergency Department physician) will open the July 28th concert with Schumann-Liszt’s Widmung and Scriabin’s 2nd Piano Sonata in G-sharp minor, Op. 19, movements I & II.
  • 3:00pm -  To close out the festival, our Featured Performer, Pianist Eldred Marshall, will perform 33 Variations on a waltz by Anton Diabelli, Op. 120, by Beethoven, commonly known as the Diabelli Variations.

Parking:

  • In the Lexus Silver Parking Garage (the parking garage UNDER Moody), parking will be $12. BBF24 Patrons can use cash or credit card. The exit gate for Lexus Silver will stay open, patrons can exit without issue.
  • There are several parking lots close to Moody - please see the FAQ page on our website for a helpful graphic. Our concert is free, but you might have to pay for parking.

DART:

  • Please consider using DART! the DART Pearl/ Arts District Station is within walking distance and on all four rail lines

This year’s festival is again sponsored in large part by a generous designated gift from Capital One. Additional designated funds and operational funds are thanks to The City of Dallas Office of Arts & Culture, The Arts Community Alliance (TACA), Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA), Moody Fund for the Arts,  as well as numerous gifts from our individual patrons and collaboration from community partners including DART. FACP/ Basically Beethoven relies solely on grants and donations for its funding, as its mission is to provide absolutely free concerts and music education for all.
